What you will do:
- Deliver high quality child care services across a range of responsibilities, carrying a caseload of the most complex cases.
- Undertake child protection investigations, acting as the lead safeguarding professional.
- Complete assessments and progress case plans as key worker for looked after children.
- Manage referrals and implement effective service plans that safeguard vulnerable children.
- Undertake child-focused assessments and manage complex cases including suspected abuse and neglect.
- Lead on safeguarding investigations in complex cases and represent the Authority in court, providing support to colleagues.
- Maintain professional case records and reports in accordance with practice standards.
- Participate in team duty systems to deliver responsive emergency services.

Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Significant frontline experience in UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker.
