What You Will Do:

- Develop and implement personalised care plans aimed at promoting autonomy and self-reliance among tenants.
- Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, shopping, bill management, and cleaning, ensuring tenants are supported in a nurturing environment.
- Facilitate activities and engagement, encouraging social interaction and personal development, all while respecting individual choices and preferences.
- Keep thorough records of tenant interactions, incidents, and daily activities, ensuring precise and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with the Care Support Team Leaders and other staff, adhering to policies, and providing feedback to improve services.
- Demonstrate impeccable moving and handling practices to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone involved.
- Maintain professionalism by keeping communication clear and treating all individuals with kindness and respect.

Team Structure:

- The complex consists of 9 flats housing 15 tenants, with an engaged team of approximately 20 support staff.
- There are 6 night staff providing continuous support and 3 Care Support Team Leaders overseeing operations.

Client/Resident Profile:

- Our tenants range from 20 to 66 years of age, all seeking long-term support in a carefully structured environment.

Person Specification:

- Equipped with experience or a strong understanding of supporting adults with learning difficulties and mental health challenges.
- Proficient communication skills, with a focus on maintaining accurate and clear written records.
- Ability to work cohesively within a team, bringing patience, empathy, and effective organisational skills.

Additional Information:

- Successful candidates will undergo essential training in health and safety, including moving and handling techniques, food hygiene, and fire safety protocols.
- A Disclosure and Barring Service check is mandatory for employment in this role, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our tenants.
