What you will do:
- Provide high-quality, relationship-focused social work services to children, young people, and families, especially in complex and high-risk scenarios.
- Lead and manage intricate child protection investigations, including multi-agency strategy discussions, focusing on the child’s safety and welfare.
- Chair and coordinate multi-agency meetings such as child protection conferences, reviews, and strategy discussions, ensuring that the voices of the child, parents, and carers remain central in decision-making.
- Conduct comprehensive, child-focused assessments and produce detailed reports for courts and agencies, ensuring adherence to statutory standards.
- Plan, deliver, and supervise services and interventions for children, parents, and carers, including arranging out-of-home care when necessary.
- Offer professional leadership and supervision to social workers and other social care staff, promoting practice development and quality assurance.
- Support the induction and development of newly qualified social workers and students, maintaining professional standards and fostering career growth.
- Collaborate with legal services and engage in court proceedings to protect children’s welfare.
- Promote safeguarding and take on pivotal roles in safeguarding enquiries within complex or multi-agency contexts.
- Maintain meticulous, up-to-date case records and reports according to organisational and professional guidelines.
- Provide essential advice and guidance, facilitating access to social care services and community resources.
- Uphold high professional standards, adhere to relevant legislation, and commit to ongoing professional development.
