What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments in complex and urgent situations involving children, young people, families, and vulnerable adults to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Deliver a high-quality emergency social work response during out-of-hours shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, providing timely interventions for safeguarding concerns.
- Offer expert advice and guidance to other agencies, professionals, and team members to facilitate effective safeguarding and decision-making.
- Supervise, support, and mentor staff within the team, promoting high standards of practice and professional development.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all interventions and decisions, ensuring compliance with organisational and legal standards.
- Collaborate with partner agencies, such as the police and hospitals, to coordinate responses and share critical information.
- Conduct crisis-led assessments to identify needs and required services, achieving positive outcomes through protection and support.
- Contribute to the development of the Emergency Duty Team service, embracing innovation and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies, supporting organisational responses to audits and inspections.
- Demonstrate professional accountability and maintain the highest standards of practice as a role model.
