Senior Development Delivery Manager - Housing Specialist

Location: Farringdon, Croydon, Maidstone, or Sittingbourne with hybrid working options available. Ongoing Contract, salary to be confirmed hourly.

What you will do:
- Oversee a pipeline of projects with values ranging from £2.5m to a stunning £120m, ensuring they meet all financial and quality benchmarks.
- Facilitate the approval and expenditure within set limits to keep projects viable and on track.
- Inspire a fantastic culture within your team, ensuring everyone meets key performance indicators related to financial, quality, and time-sensitive milestones.
- Lead, manage, and support two Development Delivery Managers in executing the construction phases of several schemes, ensuring the highest standards.
- Identify and deliver new development opportunities, ensuring compliance with Southern Housing’s policies and processes.
- Ensure that all schemes are delivered on time, on budget, and to the high-quality standards Southern Housing is known for.
- Deliver monthly progress updates and maintain accurate contractor payment forecasts through our Sequel system or similar.
- Anticipate potential challenges and take corrective actions to keep all projects on track.
- Resolve any arising issues, especially those related to health and safety, build quality, contractor management, and building safety.
- Collaborate effectively with the Employer’s Agent to authorize value-for-money contractual payments efficiently.

Requirements:
- Expertise in the development and construction process across various building and tenure types.
- Solid understanding of the legal and regulatory framework surrounding affordable housing development by a Registered Provider.
- Knowledge of contract law, procurement practices, and the intricacies of planning policy, building regulations, and Housing Association needs.
- Experience managing obligations for High Risk Buildings as per the latest regulations.
