Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant - Birmingham Primary School
Start Date: Immediate and September 2025

We are working with a welcoming, inclusive primary school in Birmingham to recruit three Graduate SEN Teaching Assistants. These full-time roles provide a fantastic opportunity for graduates to develop their skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with SEND, including autism and speech, language & communication needs.
Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Why You Should Apply:

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing tailored 1:1 support for children with SEND needs, including autism and SLCN
- Supporting pupils awaiting specialist placements or with undiagnosed needs
- Assisting classroom teachers to enable learning and engagement for all pupils
- Helping implement individual support plans and monitoring pupil progress
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing with patience and empathy
- Supporting small group interventions and contributing to whole-school SEND initiatives
- Encouraging development of social, communication, and independence skills
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
- A degree or recent graduate status
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs is essential
- Patience, resilience, and adaptability in 1:1 and small group settings
- Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
- Commitment to fostering inclusion, respect, and high expectations
- A proactive and compassionate approach to working with children and colleagues
- Interest in pursuing a long-term career in education, SEND support, or teaching
