Planner in Aldermaston, South East

Location: Aldermaston (3–4 days on-site per week)
IR35: Inside IR35

Our client has a requirement for a P6 Planner, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Aldermaston.

Role Purpose of the Planner:
To provide expert planning and earned value management (EVM) support across a portfolio of projects, ensuring timely, accurate schedule forecasting and integrated project delivery in a secure, complex environment.

Planner Role Responsibilities:

• Provide planning expertise across projects and support internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in Primavera P6.
• Deliver planning and EVM outputs in line with project cadence.
• Perform variance analysis and report on schedule performance (SPI).
• Support long-range planning and emergent initiatives.
• Review and recommend improvements to project WBS.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning tools, processes, and training delivery.
• Ensure high standards in safety, quality, and security across all planning activity.

Planner Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a P6 Planner in a complex project environment.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, and earned value management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Able to work 3–4 days per week on-site at Aldermaston.
• Must hold (or be eligible for) Vetting Level DV or SC clearance.
• Familiar with AWE 9-day fortnight working pattern is advantageous.
