Key Responsibilities

Conduct complex assessments and interventions in line with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines.

Develop and review individualised care plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of children while promoting positive family outcomes.

Mentor and support junior and less experienced social work staff, providing guidance on complex casework.

Lead on specific areas of practice and contribute to the development of service standards and operational effectiveness.

Work closely with multi-agency partners to coordinate and deliver integrated support across education, health, and community services.

Ensure all case recording is timely, accurate, and meets statutory requirements.
Essential Requirements

Qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration.

Significant post-qualification experience within children’s social care, ideally in safeguarding, assessment, or family support services.

Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and make informed decisions under pressure.

Experience in mentoring and supervising other practitioners or students.

Strong understanding of legislation, guidance, and frameworks related to children and families.
