We are working with an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Primary School in Wednesbury that is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support pupils in their final year of Key Stage 2. This TA role is a maternity cover position, perfect for someone ready to hit the ground running and support pupils in preparation for SATs and secondary transition.

Job Role:

• Full-time Teaching Assistant role supporting a Year 6 class
• Work closely with the Class Teacher to deliver tailored learning and interventions
• Support pupils with SATs preparation in English and Maths
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with varying needs
• Encourage independence, resilience, and readiness for secondary school
• Assist with planning and resource preparation under teacher direction

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, TA, or Learning Support Assistant in a UK Primary School
• Confident supporting pupils in Key Stage 2 (KS2), especially in Year 6
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and SATs expectations
• Previous experience supporting SEN pupils or delivering interventions is desirable
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification essential
• Understanding of how to maintain work life balance in a high-pressure year group
