We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support Year 2 pupils at an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school known for its nurturing environment, outstanding SEN facilities, and commitment to the Thrive Approach. This is a full-time maternity cover position, ideal for a dedicated TA who thrives in a collaborative setting and is confident in supporting the Class Teacher in delivering a rich and inclusive learning experience.
Job Role:

• Full-time Teaching Assistant role supporting Year 2 pupils
• Work closely with the Class Teacher to deliver engaging lessons and maintain a positive learning environment
• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, especially those with additional needs
• Promote and model the school's Thrive values and inclusive ethos
• Prepare and adapt resources to suit learners at different stages
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, TA, or Learning Support Assistant in a UK Primary School
• Experience supporting students in Key Stage 1 (KS1), and understanding of the National Curriculum
• Comfortable supporting SEN pupils and adapting to their needs
• Previous experience in Reception, EYFS, or Key Stage 2 (KS2) desirable
• Recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification essential
• Understanding of the importance of work life balance in education settings
