On behalf of our client – a global leader in water technologies and solutions – we are recruiting for an Industrial Water Treatment Scientist to join a dynamic team in the North East of England.
This is a field-based position offering flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to partner directly with customers across various industrial sectors.
The Role
As an Industrial Water Treatment Scientist, you’ll be the technical expert responsible for water sampling, testing, and performance analysis on customer sites. You’ll advise on system improvements, provide regular reporting, and play a vital role in ensuring environmental and safety compliance. This role involves hands-on testing and analysis, and will suit someone who enjoys both lab work and face-to-face customer interaction.
Key responsibilities include:

Conducting on-site water sampling and analysis, including Legionella testing.

Developing and maintaining full water service plans (monthly, quarterly, annual).

Advising clients on chemical treatment and technical systems performance.

Producing detailed Consultant Service Reports.

Engaging in customer review meetings and offering operational insight.

Managing your own visit schedule effectively and independently.

Upholding health, safety, and compliance standards at all times.
What We’re Looking For

A science or engineering background, ideally with direct water treatment experience.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer engagement.

Organised, proactive, and able to manage your time across multiple client sites.

A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the North East region.

UK work eligibility (current right to work required).
