About the Role – Graduate Unqualified Maths Teacher

As a Graduate Unqualified Maths Teacher, you’ll join a dedicated Mathematics department where you'll begin by supporting lesson delivery, leading small group activities, and providing targeted interventions for students who need extra help. Over time, you'll take on greater classroom responsibility, gaining valuable teaching experience and preparing for a smooth transition into a formal teacher training programme.

Key Responsibilities – Graduate Unqualified Maths Teacher

• Assist in delivering high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Provide focused academic support to students preparing for GCSEs
• Help develop lesson plans and teaching resources alongside the Maths team
• Manage small group interventions and one-to-one learning sessions
• Contribute to a positive learning culture and classroom environment
• Track student progress and provide constructive feedback under supervision

Candidate Profile – Graduate Unqualified Maths Teacher

• A 2:1 or First-Class degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject (e.g. Engineering, Physics, Economics)
• Strong academic record including high-grade Maths A-Levels and GCSEs
• A genuine interest in education and a desire to explore a long-term teaching career
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence, resilience, and the ability to build strong student relationships
• Previous experience mentoring, tutoring, or working with young people is desirable but not essential
