About the Opportunity
We are working with a high-achieving and inclusive secondary school in Brent, known for its strong Humanities faculty and supportive learning environment. As a Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted academic support to students from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level, helping them develop subject knowledge, analytical skills, and a curiosity for the natural and human world.

What You’ll Do as a Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant
In this role, you’ll support both students and teachers by:
- Delivering 1:1 and small group academic mentoring focused on Geography curriculum content
- Assisting in lesson planning, resource creation, and classroom delivery
- Helping students improve their geographical knowledge, data interpretation, and exam preparation skills
- Monitoring student progress and adapting support strategies accordingly
- Creating a classroom culture that encourages discussion, inquiry, and critical thinking
What We’re Looking For – Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant
We are seeking an engaging and committed individual who offers:
- A strong academic background with a degree in Geography or a closely related subject (e.g. Environmental Science, Geology, Urban Studies)
- A real enthusiasm for teaching and supporting young learners
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, resilient attitude with the ability to build positive relationships with students
- Previous experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential
