An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Band 6 Clinical Pharmacy Technician to join the team at Princess of Wales Hospital, Welney Ward in Ely. Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day pharmacy technician services on Welney Ward, supporting inpatient care

  • Work collaboratively with pharmacists to provide specialist clinical pharmacy support

  • Conduct medicines reconciliation for newly admitted patients and assess patient-owned medication

  • Accurately document issues and coordinate with medical teams to resolve medication queries

  • Order medications and maintain ward stock to ensure availability

  • Attend weekly MDT meetings to assist with patient care planning and discharge coordination

  • Promote patient independence by supporting self-administration of medicines

  • Liaise with community pharmacies to ensure continuity of care at admission and discharge


Essential Requirements

  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

  • Valid UK driving licence

  • Proven experience within a hospital pharmacy or clinical setting

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
