Your Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out detailed assessments to identify and respond to the needs of children and families

  • Develop and review care plans to ensure safety and long-term positive outcomes

  • Engage in multi-agency collaboration to deliver holistic, integrated support

  • Attend and contribute to child protection conferences and core group meetings

  • Present cases in court proceedings when necessary, including report preparation

  • Maintain up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements

  • Provide direct support and guidance to families to encourage sustainable change

  • Engage in reflective practice and continuing professional development


What We’re Looking For

  • A recognised qualification in Social Work (e.g., BA Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, or CSS)

  • Registration with Social Work England

  • Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience in statutory children's services

  • Strong expertise in child protection and safeguarding

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory duties, and best practice standards

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • The ability to manage complex caseloads and work effectively under pressure

  • A commitment to ongoing learning and improvement
