We’re seeking a Graduate SEN Learning Support Assistant who ticks the following boxes
- A 2:1 or higher degree from a Top 30 UK university
- Prior experience working with children or young people, whether that’s through mentoring, tutoring, peer support, or volunteering
- Strong communication skills with an adaptable and patient approach to learning and behaviour
- A reflective thinker who’s eager to grow, develop and perhaps pursue a long-term career in education, psychology, social work, or therapy
Graduate SEN Learning Support Assistant – Job description
As a Graduate SEN Learning Support Assistant, you’ll be a key figure in their students' daily lives. Your role will be both rewarding and varied, including:
- 1:1 and small group interventions—working directly with students who need tailored academic or emotional support
- Supporting the class teacher with lesson planning, resource preparation, and differentiation for students with EHCPs and additional needs
- Observing student progress and helping to identify learners who may benefit from extra intervention or pastoral care
