Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School in St Albans

A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school located in St Albans is currently seeking a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their pastoral and academic support team. This long-term, full-time position is available for an immediate start or from September 2025.
Position: Graduate Learning Support Assistant – St Albans
Key Duties: Graduate Learning Support Assistant
- Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support to Year 9 students with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Assist teaching staff in delivering tailored learning strategies.
- Monitor student progress and offer consistent encouragement and guidance.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) in their social, emotional, and academic development.
Candidate Profile: Graduate Learning Support Assistant
- Minimum of a 2:1 degree from a UK university (essential).
- Passion for working with young people and a strong interest in education, psychology, or youth work.
- Confident communicator with a compassionate and patient approach.
- Prior experience working with children or young people is helpful but not required.
