What you will do:

- Demonstrate professional leadership and provide hands-on management support and guidance, managing staff activities and influencing their practices and attitudes.
- Assume line management responsibility for a group of staff, which may include Team Leaders, ensuring adherence to our policies and procedures.
- Assist and support the Service or Area Manager in setting and monitoring budgets, capital, and revenue for each area within the location.
- Ensure effective management of resources, including staff expenditure, while supporting the organisation with staff rotas to meet both contractual requirements and personal objectives.
- Collaborate with local authority representatives, clinicians, families, and other stakeholders to maintain a multidisciplinary team approach to service provision. This may occasionally require working outside traditional hours.
- Support recruitment efforts and ensure staff receive appropriate supervision and personal development reviews to enhance learning and performance.
- Oversee assessments, support plans, and reviews involving those we support, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety are met.

Essential:

- QCF (NVQ) Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification in Social Care/Health (a commitment to working towards this qualification may also be considered).
- Strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Comprehensive knowledge of statutory requirements such as Care Quality Commission regulations.
- Experience in providing high-quality services and managing junior staff to maintain and improve quality and morale.
- Person-centred working experience ensuring service users receive tailored and compassionate care.
