What you will do:

  • Assist as a scrub and circulating nurse for both cardiac and radiology procedures.
  • Deliver comprehensive care for patients undergoing interventional cardiology and radiology treatments.
  • Accurately assess, plan, and execute care to address individual patient needs.
  • Identify early signs of clinical deterioration and take appropriate action promptly.
  • Maintain meticulous records and manage delegated administrative responsibilities.
  • Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control guidelines.
  • Uphold high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.
  • Participate in the on-call rota to provide 24-hour emergency cover for Cath Lab procedures.
  • Mentor and support junior nurses and students within the team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practice guidelines.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  • Participate in training initiatives to broaden your professional knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with full NMC registration.
  • Proven experience in Cath Lab nursing or interventional cardiology/radiology is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
