The Role at a Glance

• Position: MFL Teacher (French & Spanish)

• Start Date: September 2025

• Contract Type: Fixed-term (maternity cover, with strong potential for a permanent position within the trust)

• Working Hours: 0.8 FTE (part-time) or full-time considered

• Location: Two closely located secondary schools in the Dudley area

• Open to: ECTs and experienced MFL teachers

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective French and Spanish lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4

• Inspire students to develop linguistic skills and cultural awareness

• Plan inclusive and differentiated lessons that meet varied student needs

• Assess and monitor progress, providing clear and constructive feedback

• Maintain a positive, respectful, and safe learning environment

• Collaborate with colleagues across both schools on curriculum planning

• Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and staff

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• A degree in Modern Foreign Languages, Education, or a related subject

• Ability to teach both French and Spanish with confidence

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• A flexible, motivated approach and willingness to work across two sites

• A genuine passion for language education and student progress

• ECTs welcome – full induction and mentoring provided
