A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stourbridge is currently interviewing and hiring immediately for a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant. The role will begin on a trial basis, with a view to becoming permanent from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a setting that truly supports children’s individual learning and development.
The Role:

Immediate start, with a trial period leading to a permanent contract in September

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (term-time only)

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a variety of SEN needs, such as:
-
Autism
-
Speech and language difficulties
-
Sensory processing challenges
-

Assist in implementing personalised learning and behaviour plans
-
Support pupils’ communication, emotional well-being, and social development
-
Work closely with teachers and collaborate with professionals including speech & language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists
What We’re Looking For:
-
A graduate (2:1 or above) in Psychology, Education, Health & Social Care, or a related subject

A genuine interest in SEN and inclusive education
-
Strong communication, patience, and a calm, empathetic manner
-
Experience in SEN, care, tutoring, or youth support roles is a plus
-
Adaptability and resilience when supporting children with additional needs
