Are you a recent graduate with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stourbridge is currently interviewing and hiring immediately for a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant. The role will begin on a trial basis, with a view to becoming permanent from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a setting that truly supports children’s individual learning and development.

The Role:

• Immediate start, with a trial period leading to a permanent contract in September

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (term-time only)

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a variety of SEN needs, such as:

  • Autism

  • Speech and language difficulties

  • Sensory processing challenges

• Assist in implementing personalised learning and behaviour plans

• Support pupils’ communication, emotional well-being, and social development

• Work closely with teachers and collaborate with professionals including speech & language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists

What We’re Looking For:

• A graduate (2:1 or above) in Psychology, Education, Health & Social Care, or a related subject

• A genuine interest in SEN and inclusive education

• Strong communication, patience, and a calm, empathetic manner

• Experience in SEN, care, tutoring, or youth support roles is a plus

• Adaptability and resilience when supporting children with additional needs
