MSK Physiotherapist – Full-Time

Location: BAE Systems, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00–16:45; Friday, 08:00–12:30

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist to join our dedicated team at BAE Systems in Barrow-in-Furness. Situated near the world-famous Lake District, this role offers both professional development and an excellent work-life balance.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary occupational health team, you will provide expert clinical assessment and treatment for employees, supporting their recovery and promoting long-term musculoskeletal health in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for MSK conditions

• Determine work-relatedness of MSK conditions and advise accordingly

• Produce clear, detailed reports post-assessment and at discharge

• Recommend appropriate workplace adjustments based on clinical findings

• Lead rehabilitation-focused onsite exercise classes

• Collaborate effectively with the wider occupational health team

• Carry out Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments and preventative interventions

• Suggest practical ergonomic improvements based on risk assessments

• Identify MSK-related workplace hazards and work with SHE advisors

• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to statistical reporting

• Support employee rehabilitation regardless of injury cause

About You

We are seeking a confident, motivated MSK Physiotherapist who is passionate about high-quality care and enjoys working within a structured occupational health environment.

Essential Criteria:

• HCPC registration

• Minimum of 4 years’ post-graduate physiotherapy experience

• At least 2 years specialising in MSK care

• Confident using IT systems for health management and reporting

• Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload

• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills

• Experience planning workloads in collaboration with Occupational Physiotherapy Managers

• Knowledge of workplace ergonomics and fitness-for-work assessments

Desirable:

• Postgraduate training in Occupational Health or Ergonomics

• CSP full membership

• ACPOHE membership
