What you will do:
- Visit individuals with disabilities at home or in their permanent residence to perform comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, focusing on daily living skills, carer support, and environmental barriers.
- Stay informed about available products to recommend suitable equipment, assistive technology, and telecare solutions for disabled people.
- Facilitate the provision and fitting of equipment, offering guidance on the use to clients, carers, and relevant professionals.
- Research and evaluate the suitability, cost, safety, and effectiveness of potential equipment and adaptations.
- Ensure family and paid carers can provide personal care safely by assessing manual handling, recommending equipment for improved safety, and offering advice to carers and care supervisors.
For this role, it is essential to be an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with a valid driving licence.
