What you will do:

  • Collaborate with the Team Manager to provide leadership and guidance for the team, ensuring the delivery of a seamless service within Adult Social Care.
  • Manage and supervise social care practitioners, coordinating induction and training programmes, setting objectives, and promoting professional growth.
  • Act as an expert practitioner, offering oversight and advice to ensure safe and appropriate decision-making within the team.
  • Revise staff training and development plans, mentoring less experienced colleagues to enhance their skills and expertise.
  • Support clinical reasoning and decision-making processes within the team to improve service delivery.
  • - Allocate work efficiently, manage waiting lists, and monitor performance to meet statutory responsibilities.
  • - Promote person-centred care through strength-based assessments and support planning.
  • - Develop and sustain relationships with other professionals, partner organisations, and external agencies.
  • - Oversea high-risk assessments and support plan development, ensuring client choice and control.
  • - Engage with families and communities to promote independence and prevent harm and abuse.
