What you will do:

- Conduct statutory assessments under the Children Act 1989, focusing on sections 17 and 47.
- Manage a diverse caseload that includes children in need, those on child protection plans, and children involved in care proceedings.
- Develop and implement effective safeguarding strategies in partnership with children, their families, and other professionals.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality reports for various meetings, case conferences, and legal proceedings.
- Attend and actively participate in child protection conferences, core groups, and legal planning sessions.
- Collaborate with partner agencies like schools, health services, and the police to ensure a comprehensive approach to safeguarding.
- Employ evidence-based interventions to support and empower children and families.
- Maintain precise and timely case records following statutory and local guidelines.
- Engage in team meetings, regular supervision, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Respond swiftly to emergency safeguarding concerns and partake in the duty rota as needed.
