What you will do:

- Carry out comprehensive statutory assessments for children with disabilities and their families, identifying their needs, risks, and strengths in order to improve their wellbeing.
- Develop, implement, and review Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children care plans to ensure the best outcomes.
- Manage a complex caseload, ensuring timely and effective interventions tailored to each child's needs.
- Provide direct social work support, including counselling, advocacy, and practical assistance to empower families and children.
- Prepare detailed reports for multi-agency meetings, reviews, and court proceedings, showcasing your expertise and analytical skills.
- Represent the local authority in court as required, providing professional evidence that impacts real-world decisions.
- Provide supervision and support to junior social workers and students as needed, fostering the next generation of social work professionals.
- Work collaboratively with health professionals, education providers, therapists, and voluntary organisations to deliver holistic care.
