What you will do:

- Hold and manage a caseload of children and families requiring safeguarding intervention, ensuring all statutory duties and assessments are completed meticulously.
- Provide leadership and supervision to social workers, including Assistant Practitioners, supporting them in complex casework and fostering professional development.
- Develop and implement child protection and children in need plans, ensuring timely progress and regular reviews.
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and promote their well-being, ensuring a cohesive approach.
- Mentor newly qualified social workers and less experienced staff, working collaboratively with permanent consultant social workers and systemic practitioners.
- Participate in team meetings and development days, contributing to our continuous service improvement journey.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date case records, in line with statutory requirements and Havering Council policies.
- Promote and embed a culture of reflective practice and systemic thinking within the team, encouraging a learning environment.
