Social Worker - Youth Justice Officer in Enfield, earning £24.25 hourly, Full Time, ongoing.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual to join our dynamic team, making a tangible difference in the lives of young people within the community. As part of the Youth Justice Service, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding young people and managing risk to the community. We are seeking individuals with at least two years of experience in the Youth Justice System to fill this vital role. Candidates who have previously been rejected for insufficient experience in the field are advised not to reapply.

What you will do:

  • Write Pre-Sentence Reports (PSR), Referral Order, and Breach reports to provide insights into young people's cases.
  • Conduct high-quality assessments using AssetPlus, using your analytical skills to understand complexities and needs.
  • Deliver targeted interventions designed to reduce offending risks while managing risk of harm effectively.
  • Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure best practice and coordinated efforts.
  • Engage in close partnership work to improve service delivery and outcomes for young people.
  • Commit to occasional weekend and unsocial hours work when required to meet the needs of the service.

A minimum of two years’ experience working with children and young people in the Youth Justice system is essential.
