Psychology Graduate – SEN Teaching Assistant | Stafford

Up to £520 per week | Immediate or September Start

Are you a recent Psychology graduate based in or near Stafford with a keen interest in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

A forward-thinking primary school within easy reach of Stafford is looking for a passionate Psychology graduate to join their SEN support team as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant. Whether you're ready to start immediately or looking for a September role, this full-time opportunity offers hands-on experience in a setting perfect for launching your career in education or psychology.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Full-time, term-time role (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM)

  • Earn up to £520 per week

  • Work one-on-one and in small groups with children with a variety of needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges

  • Support the delivery of personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies

  • Collaborate with specialist staff including educational psychologists, speech & language therapists, and occupational therapists

  • Gain direct experience relevant for postgraduate study or professional training

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A Psychology graduate (2:1 or above) with a genuine interest in SEN and child development

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with a proactive attitude

  • Previous experience in SEN settings, tutoring, mentoring, or care work is highly desirable
