What you will do:

  • Conduct thorough social work assessments and devise care management plans in alignment with the Authority's policies.
  • Manage a diverse caseload efficiently to ensure all children's needs are met promptly.
  • Empower service users by supporting their journey towards greater independence, offering choices wherever possible.
  • Implement agreed plans, monitor progress, and coordinate review processes with service users, carers, and professional partners.
  • Provide comprehensive information and advice regarding available services and departmental responsibilities.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise reports for various audiences, including court and safeguarding teams.
  • Advocate effectively for the best interests of service users and engage with the community and professional colleagues.
  • Refer users to alternative agencies when specific expertise is required, ensuring they receive appropriate advice and support.
  • Represent Social Services perspective in multi-disciplinary settings.
  • Engage in supervision, professional development, and training to maintain high standards of practice.
  • Comply with all relevant County Borough Policies and health & safety regulations.
  • Promote principles of equality and anti-discriminatory practice within your work.
