We are recruiting for an English Teacher to join a high-performing, values-driven secondary school in Wolverhampton, where students are respectful, aspirational, and eager to learn. This is a full-time role with no lesson planning required, making it ideal for teachers seeking a better work-life balance while still making a meaningful impact. Both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply, with ongoing support provided throughout your placement. The position offers a fantastic opportunity to teach in a school that prioritises both academic growth and personal development.

This role is due to start ASAP until the end of the school year. Will be expected to deliver English lessons, with no planning and marking involved, teaching both KS3 and KS4.

As this is a long-term English Teacher role, you will be expected to:

  • Deliver engaging, pre-planned English lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students in line with the national curriculum.
  • Differentiate lessons as needed to support students with SEND, SEMH, and those working at higher ability levels.
  • Work alongside Teaching Assistants to provide individualised classroom support.
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Follow the school’s behaviour policy and implement effective classroom management strategies.
  • Provide feedback where necessary, though planning and marking are not required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • English subject specialist with confident curriculum knowledge.
  • Able to teach English to KS3 and KS4 students, including GCSE-level content.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and differentiation strategies.
  • Strong behaviour management and a positive, proactive teaching style.
  • Contactable references covering the last 24 months.

Working as an English Teacher through Flourish Education offers:
