What you will do:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to support families affected by substance misuse and devise care plans tailored to their individual needs.
  • Act as the lead professional in statutory cases involving child protection, care proceedings, and looked-after children.
  • Facilitate multi-disciplinary collaboration to ensure a comprehensive approach to safeguarding.
  • Provide intensive intervention and support to families in need, aiming to reduce harm and promote a healthy environment.
  • Coordinate with various agencies to deliver targeted support and resources aimed at improving child welfare.
  • Prepare and present reports for court proceedings, ensuring that the best interests of the child are represented.


We seek individuals with a proactive attitude who are committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for families and children. You will have a relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Past experience in both voluntary and statutory contexts, a good grasp of relevant legislation, and confidence in APIR processes are essential.
