What you will do:

  • Independently assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a variety of acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, pneumonia, and post-surgery.
  • Deliver specialized physiotherapy interventions like airway clearance techniques, breathing exercises, and early mobilization to optimize respiratory function.
  • Manage patients requiring non-invasive ventilation (NIV), high-flow nasal oxygen, or other respiratory support, collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide physiotherapy treatment in critical care environments, including ICU and HDU, for patients with complex respiratory needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment strategies based on clinical assessments and evidence-based practices ensuring the best patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ward rounds and case conferences to maintain coordinated patient care with a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Facilitate safe discharge planning for patients, including referrals to community services or pulmonary rehabilitation programmes.
