Role Requirements

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Social Worker with:

  • Significant experience in foster care practice and conducting fostering assessments.

  • In-depth knowledge of fostering legislation, child care law, safeguarding, and fostering regulations.

  • The ability to work from the office three days per week.


Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake thorough and objective assessments of prospective foster carers, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.

  • Provide supervision and ongoing support to foster carers, promoting stability and positive outcomes for children.

  • Collaborate with children, families, and professionals to ensure safeguarding and effective care planning.

  • Produce high-quality, analytical assessment reports and present them to fostering panels.

  • Participate in case reviews, strategy meetings, and planning discussions with a focus on child-centred practice.

  • Maintain accurate, timely records in line with statutory and departmental requirements.
