What you will do:

  • Plan, implement, review, and improve interventions to meet the identified needs of service users and manage their inherent risks.
  • Contribute to case conferences and reviews, ensuring service users and carers are engaged and empowered to contribute to their care plans.
  • Accept ongoing accountability for service users, managing complex delegated caseloads and supervising/mentoring junior staff and learners in the provision of direct and indirect nursing care.
  • Implement policy and service development, ensuring safe practice in compliance with Trust policies, procedures, Codes of Conduct, and relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act (1983).
  • Manage financial and physical resources responsibly, using clinical equipment safely and ensuring necessary stock and supplies are maintained.
  • Provide both formal and informal training, health promotion, and advice to patients and their carers regarding mental health needs.
  • Actively participate in delivering training opportunities for staff and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
