Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 in subjects like History, English, and Geography
- Assisting teachers with planning and delivering engaging, thought-provoking lessons
- Providing one-to-one or small group academic support for students who may need additional help
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Encouraging students’ critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills
- Collaborating with staff to support students’ academic and personal development
- Offering guidance and mentorship to pupils preparing for exams or coursework
- Playing an active role in school life, including enrichment and extracurricular activities
Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
- A 2:1 degree or higher in a Humanities subject (History, English, Geography, etc.)
- A genuine passion for education and working with young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible attitude
- Ability to build rapport with students and staff
- Previous experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential
- A desire to pursue a career in teaching, education, or youth support
