Mechanical Weld Inspector in Humber Court, South West

Our Client has a requirement for a Mechanical Weld Inspector, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Humber.

Job Role Responsibilities:

• The Role of the Weld Inspector will report to the Quality Manager and work in collaboration with the wider weld engineering cabability; supporting Projects and Programmes of work as well as providing independent assurance of welding arrangements and activities

• Conduct front line inspection within the fabrication shops – steel work and piping and complete inspection reporting

• Carry out NDT and associated paperwork

• Ensure compliance with controlling documentation

• Liaise with Client Inspectors

• Compile documentation packages (LTRs) concurrently

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

• >3 Years experience working within Mechanical and Weld Inspection and Testing
• Good working knowledge of Health & Safety
• Good knowledge and understanding of welding and NDT techniques
• Some experience of working within a Nuclear regulated industry
• Knowledge of ISO 3834 and BSEN 1090
• Experience in both steel fabrication and pipework
• CSWIP 3.1
• Lead Auditor
• Rad Interp L2
• PCN L2 – MPI / DPI
• UT
