Core Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive, evidence-based nutritional assessments tailored to individual patient needs.

Diagnose nutritional issues and develop patient-focused treatment plans with realistic, achievable goals.

Deliver and adapt specialist dietary care for patients with complex medical and social needs.

Communicate dietary advice clearly and effectively, integrating input from the wider healthcare team and external agencies.

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives through audits and research to support evidence-based practice.

Mentor newly qualified dietitians and students, fostering professional growth and collaborative learning.

Support the development of the service through the sharing of best practices and clinical innovation.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Degree or postgraduate qualification in Dietetics.

Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Previous experience at Band 5 level within an NHS setting.

Proven competence in providing nutrition support across a range of clinical conditions.
Desirable Criteria:

Advanced diploma or higher degree in Dietetics.

Completion of the Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition Group Clinical Update or equivalent.

Membership of the British Dietetic Association (BDA).
