What you will do:
- Screen referrals from agencies such as police, health, and schools.
- Conduct rapid information-sharing and risk analysis to determine the best course of action.
- Make critical threshold decisions, including no further action, early help, or social care intervention.
- Undertake initial assessments with Single Assessments to gather necessary information.
- Visit families, engaging directly with children, parents, and other professionals to gather their views.
- Determine next steps, whether it be closing a case, implementing early help, or moving toward Child in Need or Child Protection plans.
- Manage cases involving significant harm or serious concerns, ensuring child safety at all times.
- Lead Section 47 enquiries and convene strategy discussions to assess risk and plan interventions.
- Prepare detailed reports for child protection conferences and review Child Protection Plans.
- Engage in court work, including preparing statements and providing evidence as needed.
Applicants must hold a Social Work degree, have a minimum of three years' post-qualification experience, and be registered with Social Work England.
