Team Manager – Fostering Support & Development
Location: Medway, Kent, UK
Salary: £54,130 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time or part-time options available
We are seeking an inspiring Team Manager to join our Fostering Support & Development team within the vibrant Medway area of Kent. Main Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and coach a team of social workers, ranging from experienced practitioners to newly qualified staff.

Build effective working relationships with other council services and partner agencies.

Contribute to the delivery of the council’s strategic vision for Children’s Social Care.

Provide high-quality supervision and ensure robust case management across the team.

Allocate cases within statutory timescales, ensuring needs are assessed and reviewed appropriately.

Support staff growth through the implementation of personalised performance development plans.

Monitor team performance and standards through regular data analysis and quality checks.

Supervise student placements and Newly Qualified Social Workers during their ASYE.

Assist with budget monitoring and authorisation of expenditures within agreed limits.

Support recruitment to maintain a well-resourced and skilled team.

Chair team meetings and stay current with relevant policies, legislation, and practice developments.

Act as deputy to the Group Manager and provide cover for fellow Team Managers when required.
