What you will do:
- Provide specialised mental healthcare to offenders as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team ensuring a positive impact on their mental well-being.
- Conduct referral management screening assessments and triage offering evidence-based interventions to those in your care.
- Facilitate both one-to-one sessions and group work tailored to the needs of offenders using assertive outreach and managing a varied caseload.
- Work closely with community mental health teams ensuring continuity of care and collaboration for all offenders.
- Generate comprehensive and timely reports providing mental health expertise to multi-agency public protection panels police probation services solicitors and court liaison teams.
- Offer supervision to junior colleagues while receiving guidance from senior staff promoting a culture of shared learning and support.
- Participate in the provision of psychological therapy and specialist activities contributing to resource centre services.
- Liaise effectively with prison staff and external agencies supporting sentence planning resettlement and custody processes.
