You will be part of a supportive team focusing on children who are subject to Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs) or Care Orders, and who are residing with parents or extended family members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of Family Time: Monitor and support supervised contact between children and their parents, ensuring interactions are safe, positive, and developmentally appropriate.

  • Case Management for SGO Cases: Provide key support and manage cases involving Special Guardianship Orders, helping to stabilise and strengthen family placements.

  • Undertake Statutory Visits: Conduct statutory Children Looked After (CLA) visits under the direction of a Social Worker, ensuring the welfare and needs of children are met.

  • Assessment of Needs: Carry out comprehensive assessments to identify support requirements tailored to each child and family.

  • Review Support Plans: Regularly review care and support plans, making necessary adjustments to respond to the evolving needs of the children and families involved.
