Job Purpose:
As a Community Psychiatric Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care while maintaining clinical excellence in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) code of conduct. The role involves promoting clinical leadership, supervising and supporting professional development, and contributing to the educational programme for staff, thereby fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver autonomous nursing care that meets the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients in a recovery-focused manner.

Lead activities that ensure the fundamental care needs of patients (nutrition, hydration, hygiene, and emotional support) are consistently met.

Administer medication responsibly and monitor compliance, ensuring the highest safety standards.

Engage with service users one-on-one, maintaining their dignity, promoting equality, and ensuring diversity is respected.

Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).

Advocate for service users’ needs and empower them within their care programmes.

Maintain clear and effective communication with service users and their support networks.
