VGC Group are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for Electrical AP's to join their growing team in Avonmouth, Bristol. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe planning, control, and execution of electrical works, including isolation, energisation, testing, and commissioning activities, in accordance with statutory regulations, project procedures, and client safety rules. They will act as the appointed duty holder for electrical safety on site and ensure all electrical activities are carried out with no risk to personnel, plant and the public. Duties include but are not limited to the following; *Act as the designated Electrical AP *Plan, implement and control electrical isolations, LOTO, earthing and re-energisation *Ensure compliance with Electricity at Work regulations, Electrical safety rules, work is carried out inline with relevant standards *Issue, receive, suspend and cancel permits to work, sanctions for test, and electrical safety documents as required *Co-ordinate electrical construction, testing and commissioning activities *Provide technical and safety leadership to electricians, supervisors and subcontractors *Interface with the Client, Principal Contractor, Designers, and Independent Inspectors *Maintain accurate records and support audits, inspections and investigations The successful candidate will have: *SSSTS *Approved Industrial Electrician *2391 Testing & Inspection *18th Edition *Formal Electrical Authorised Person appointment *ILM Level 3 Certificate or enrolled *HSE SUPS OR CCNSG *Proven experience as an AP on a large industrial, Infrastructure or energy project Strong working knowledge of: *Electrical Safety Rules *Permit to Work systems *Isolation and switching procedures *Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
