JOB-20241107-791d94d2Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Team Manager within the Fostering Kinship & Recruitment Team to work Full Time based in Southend.The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is up to £58,959 per annum. Main duties: As a Fostering Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of the work of the kinship and fostering recruitment processes.Managing a Fostering Team consisting of two Advanced Practitioners, Supervising Social Workers and Support Workers.To implement service strategy and performance and ensure its contribution to the Councils objectives.To provide formal, professional supervision to staff, ensuring that staff supervision and appraisals are undertaken, identifying skills gaps or training needs, that can be addressed either in house or via external training.Monitor performance, standards and quality of work to ensure that the Council complies with policy, procedures and professional standards. Constantly review the performance of the team to ensure that the Council embeds a culture of continuous improvement.Ensure that the Fostering Team recruit and assess foster carers and Kinship Carers in line with regulations, contribute to and monitor care plans for individuals looked after or in need of protection. Where appropriate, actively managing the most complex and demanding cases. Liaising with other agencies and organisations, collating and analysing information and identifying the most appropriate action.To ensure the recruitment, assessment, training and supervision of new Foster Carers and Kinship Carers which meets the diverse care needs of children within Southend.To work jointly with colleagues across the department and the Council ensuring the provision of an integrated good quality service.Actively manage complaints and refer to appropriate level if unable to resolve.To oversee budget allocation for the team and authorise payments to agreed levels, ensuring that the expenditure is kept within the available budget.Provide information, reports and analysis as and when required.To act as a member of the Group Management Team, attending meetings and contributing to decision/policy making.To chair meetings, conferences and reviews as and when required, ensuring that a Multi-Disciplinary approach is adopted and that the needs of individual children are always addressed.
