What you will do: To clinically assess patients' communication skills and work collaboratively to provide continuing care for people with communication and/or swallowing difficulties in the community.To make a differential diagnosis of communication and swallowing difficulties through specialist formal and informal clinical assessments ensuring all interventions are accurate and appropriately assessed.To take responsibility and accountability for the prioritisation and management of your own clinical caseload.To aid patients in expressing their own views and needs, enabling them to actively participate in the planning of their treatment.To utilise clinical assessments of communication skills to make informed decisions about a patient's capacity to consent to interventions and manage future care. Requirements: Must be registered with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).A valid driving licence and access to a car is required to visit clients in the community.
