Test and Commissioning Engineer- £35000 - £45000 + 4 day working week - Southwest
The Role

We are looking for a Test and Commissioning Engineer to join our Off Site Services team in the South-West. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in ensuring our systems are tested, verified and delivered to the highest standards.
You will take ownership of bringing systems to life, from initial testing through to final handover. You will be trusted to work on site, solve problems and make sure everything performs exactly as it should.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Complete system start-up, calibration, integration testing and fault finding
- Review engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and control documentation
- Configure and test control systems including PLCs, VSDs and instrumentation
- Record all testing and commissioning activities in line with QMS standards
- Prepare test plans, reports, and handover documentation
- Support project delivery through site coordination and progress updates
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures on site
- Identify improvements and share feedback with internal teams

The Person
To succeed as a Test and Commissioning Engineer, you will have:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Experience in testing and commissioning control systems
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good organisation and time management
- Confidence working both independently and within a team
- A professional approach when working on customer sites
