Experience with BSL (British Sign Language) or Makaton would be highly beneficial, but is not essential – the school is happy to support training and development in these areas.

This is a highly rewarding role where you will play a key part in helping pupils access learning, develop communication skills and build confidence in a nurturing classroom environment.

  • Small class sizes, allowing for more personalised support

  • Strong links with a network of local primary schools, offering collaboration and shared expertise

Staff are valued and supported, creating a positive working environment where both pupils and adults can thrive.

  • Candidates looking to relocate to a well-connected and desirable location
  • Local candidates who drive or can easily commute to the school

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, or working with children with SEND
    OR
  • A graduate with a degree in Psychology, Education Studies, EYFS or a related field
  • A strong academic graduate who is considering training to become a teacher in the near future

You will also:

  • Be patient, empathetic and committed to supporting children with additional needs
  • Have strong communication skills and a proactive approach
  • Be eager to learn and develop new strategies to support pupils effectively
  • Work well as part of a team

What the School Offers
