Role overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Substance Misuse Nurse to join the Criminal Justice service in Preston. This full-time locum role offers an immediate start on an initial 2-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
You’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals within the criminal justice system who are affected by drug and alcohol misuse, delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care within a structured weekday working pattern.

Deliver high-quality nursing care and support to individuals with substance misuse needs within the criminal justice setting.

Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop personalised care and recovery plans.

Implement harm reduction strategies and provide education around safe substance use.

Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated treatment pathways.

Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant clinical records in line with service and criminal justice requirements.
