You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical care to individuals accessing substance misuse services, supporting recovery through evidence-based nursing interventions. A valid NMC registration is essential for this role.

What You Will Do

• Conduct comprehensive physical and mental health assessments, arranging referrals where required.

• Assess and implement safe alcohol detoxification plans in line with service policies.

• Participate in opioid titration and substitution therapy management.

• Deliver health promotion initiatives, including blood-borne virus screening and vaccinations.

• Facilitate community-based alcohol and opioid detox programmes.

• Undertake phlebotomy and interpret blood results to support clinical decision-making.

• Provide education on naloxone use and complete wound care assessments.

Requirements

• Valid NMC registration.

• Experience working within substance misuse or related clinical settings.

• Strong clinical assessment and risk management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
